Job Description:

Jordan Vineyard & Winery in Healdsburg, CA is seeking a lab intern for our 2024 harvest season. This position will work closely with the winemaking team to help ensure the quality of our Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Russian River Chardonnay.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with our Assistant Winemaker and Lab Technician, Harvest Duties include Lab analysis of must and wine (pH, TA, VA, ALC, SO2, RS, MA, NOPA, AM), Brix checks of tanks and barrels, fruit sorting, must pump operation, yeast inoculations, vineyard sample processing, and aiding in cellar operations (cleaning, pump overs, tank dig outs, etc.) as needed. Hours are dependent on harvest schedule, but there’s potential for 6 days a week and 12-hour days in the peak of harvest.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The job requires standing for long periods of time, walking, climbing stairs, and bending. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Clothing (shirts, jackets, hats) will be provided as well as lunches every day through harvest.
This position will last the duration of harvest. Typically starting in the middle of August until Thanksgiving.
