Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic candidate to operate our Tasting Room and lead our hospitality program. This role is responsible for day-to-day operations as well as the planning, execution, business development, and performance measurement of the Tasting Room. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and an authentic passion of providing world-class hospitality. You must have the ability to be nimble, creative, efficient and effective.

This position provides the perfect opportunity for someone to lead DTC operations and act as our boots on the ground in the community. The ideal candidate will also be a jack of all trades with a keen interest in also assisting with marketing/PR, wholesale efforts and strategic on and offsite events. We are looking for someone who has a passion for providing an authentic and inviting hospitality experience for each guest that is aligned with our core values of establishing genuine connections and building long-lasting relationships. Roles and Responsibilities Include:

Tasting Room Management

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Tasting Room.
- Host members and guests for by-appointment hospitality experiences – must have innate ability to connect and build relationships while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Responsible for tracking and monitoring all DTC performance metrics of the Tasting Room.
- Manage logistics of shipments to customers and Society membership clientele.
- Keen attention to detail and must serve as the creative eye to the property at all times.
- Responsible for the planning and execution of events and luxury hospitality experiences.
- Monthly inventory management and reconciliation with accounting.
- Ensure Tasting Room is always in pristine condition.

Business Development

- Build relationships and referral partnerships with local wineries, drivers, hotels, restaurants, etc. – must have a “high tide lifts all boats” mentality supportive of the community.
- Attend and represent our brand at local events that help drive qualified traffic to the Tasting Room.
- Travel around the U.S. in tandem with our Wholesale Manager to host wine dinners and experiences to help drive additional revenue and membership sign-ups outside of the Tasting Room.
- Assist in wine placements at local restaurants that fit our brand.
- Curate itineraries and recommendation lists for our members to send traffic to like-minded establishments to enhance their experience.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of relevant luxury Hospitality Management and leadership experience.
- Ability to provide impeccable customer service to our guests and a genuine love for connecting, building and nurturing relationships.
- Experience with leading and managing people with an encouraging and goal-oriented leadership style.
- Must speak comfortably to people with poise and confidence.
- Must be nimble with great intuition and able to make mindful decisions to exceed member and guest expectations.
- Communicate actively with other departments to maintain a positive and productive working environment.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have a true passion for luxury experiences (wine knowledge and certification is a plus).
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and Winery POS systems (knowledge of Commerce 7 is a plus).
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong ability to anticipate and prioritize conflicting needs and apply sense of urgency while maintaining a calm and collected attitude.
- Must be extremely self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Warm, friendly and gracious personality.
- Ability to work well in a small team environment.
- Strong ability to follow up and follow through in a timely fashion.
- Candidates must be 21 years or older, able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. on a regular basis and be able to stand for extended periods of time. This position will include
weekend shifts, occasional travel and events.
