POSITION: Sales Engineer & Project Manager

ACCOUNTABLE TO: General Manager

SUPERVISES: Occasional on-site project management of field crew installations working respectfully with SSWI Field Superintendent or other site managers.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
This Position is primarily responsible for the sales, communication, customer relations and distribution of SSWI/DCI tanks, CPS Automation, and equipment information to existing and developing new customer base. This position also includes estimating, billing and securing sales orders as well as providing winery, Ag and Diary engineering expertise, to assure the development, manufacture, testing, sale, and delivery of SSWI/DCI products to customers’ satisfaction at a profit, in an engineered-to-order environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Foremost, rapidly respond to customer inquiries, be presentable, well groomed, cordial, and pleasant to customers. You will be a key representative for SSWI/CPS/DCI. We practice 100% customer retention.
2. Requires superior communication and organizational skills with the ability to successfully implement within a “Team” work environment.
3. Responsible for actively pursuing and securing sales orders to maintain the production capacity of SSWI’s manufacturing facility.
4. Individual must be able to provide “Cradle to Grave” Project Management support working effectively with SSWI Field and Shop Managers.
5. Requires working closely with existing SSWI/CPS/DCI Sales Engineer and staff to accommodate a smooth transition of customer base and operational flow.
6. Must be capable of successfully communicating winery, Ag and Diary engineering expertise to provide solutions for customer’s potential operational needs.
7. Individuals must be capable of researching and comprehension of Marzola, CPS, and DCI product lines to determine if there are synergies for sales orders within existing and new SSWI/CPS/DCI customer base.
8. Responsible for networking within the combined marketplace of SSWI/CPS/DCI’s and providing marketing information feedback to the SSWI General Manger.
9. Has complete understanding of the tank construction, related design processes and implementing these parameters into solutions for potential customer needs and/or requirements.
10. Responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes & laws.
11. Ability to understand and communicate with SSWI Engineering Manager customer orders and related
change requests.
12. Ability and desire to become skilled at the SSWI Estimating, Quoting and Billing Work Order process.
13. Ability to travel to customer sites as business needs require.
14. Maintains and ensures use of technological improvements and implementation of necessary engineering and related functional areas tools. Focuses on the quality of SSWI/DCI products and services.
15. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and use proper safety equipment.
16. Maintains a strong working relationship with DCI, Inc. VP Sales as needed/required.
17. Assist in establishing an annual Sales/Order Plan.
18. Keep current on applicable product enhancements which occur within the wine industry.
19. Represent SSWI in a business-like manner maintaining the positive reputation of the company.
20. Identify and develop recommendations for new products and applications and work with engineering to establish effective solutions to customer needs, while maintaining the integrity of SSWI products and services.
21. Assist in developing advertising materials, presentations and technical documents as needed to support the sales and marketing efforts.
22. Attend trade shows and other industry events as necessary or as assigned.
23. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Successfully completed a Bachelor of Science in Engineering accredited program and/or comparable industry experience.
2. Strong general supervision and demonstrated Team leadership skills.
3. Must be fluent in use of Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Power Point.
4. Individuals must understand the standards and procedures of the manufacturing and production of stainless-steel tanks.
5. Must be able to work in a high pace sales/project management work environment with workloads that fluctuate hourly and daily.
6. Mathematical, functional analysis, product concept and design skills are mandatory.
7. An aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
8. Capable of communicating with the Customer, Shop and Field personnel to fully understand their needs and fulfill these needs in a timely fashion.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
10. Read and write English.
11. Capable of multi-tasking.
12. Ability to project a positive and professional image to employees, vendors, and customers.
13. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is essential.
