Job Description:

Scope of Position:

The Maintenance Technician assists the Maintenance Manager with repair and upkeep of facilities, equipment, and properties.

This position includes installations, repairs, preventative, and emergency maintenance on a wide variety of winemaking and facility equipment. Additionally, the Technician will perform repairs and maintenance on support equipment, buildings, fixtures, and systems at two winery properties.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

•  Works with Maintenance Manager on a day-to-day work request using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) "Computerized Maintenance Management System." To Review service requests for repairs and maintenance.
•  Perform periodic, preventive, and predictive maintenance on all cellars, crush, and facility equipment.

•  Install, troubleshoot, and repair winery equipment, which includes fabrication of parts, installation of replacement parts, electrical, plumbing and machining.
•  Diagnose and repair of electrical problems on various winery equipment.
•  Ability to operate a forklift and work at heights on a scissor/boom lift.
•  Assure safety standards used to comply with all company, city, state, and federal guidelines.
•  Maintain a safe, professional, orderly, and clean working environment.

•  Available to work extended hours and weekends during harvest.
•  Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills

•  Advanced plumbing skills including PVC and copper installation.
•  Advanced electrical skills including installation and troubleshooting. PLC and Frequency drive experience a plus
•  Advanced fabrication skills including design, cutting, welding, and machining stainless steel and aluminum.
•  Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems
•  Basic knowledge of water and wastewater systems

Requirements:

•  Must have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in maintaining mechanical equipment and electrical repairs.
•  Basic computer skills required. Microsoft.
•  Must have a thorough knowledge of mechanical systems as they relate to equipment including crush equipment, air systems, refrigeration, etc.
•  Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and all levels of management in English, both written and verbal, be able to read and write English. (Bilingual with Spanish a plus).
•  Must be able to lift 50 pounds and not sensitive to common cleaning solvents.
•  Must be able to work overhead 50 feet in OSHA approved man lift.
•  Must have a valid class "C" license and be insurable by the company.

Wage Transparency:

The base pay for this role ranges from $26.00 - $36.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
