Job Title: Regional Sales Director - South
Department: Sales
Reports To: National Sales Director
Classification: Exempt?

Travel Requirement: Expected to travel 50% of the time for distributor management, market development, and event participation.?
Under the leadership of the National Sales Director, this role is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of sales within the specified multi-state sales territory. (North Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Washington DC, Maryland.) The position entails the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies that foster and enhance brand loyalty. Key responsibilities include the effective communication of the winery's philosophy, managing product allocations, overseeing shipments and sales activities in each market, and assessing distributor performance to offer strategic improvements. Travel within the designated territory is essential for engaging directly with distributor staff, preserving, and strengthening relationships with existing clients, pursuing new sales opportunities, and representing the winery at various industry events to promote its products and values.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Innovative Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to enhance market share and drive revenue growth.
•  Distributor Partnership Management: Establish productive relationships with distributors, ensuring sales efforts are aligned with the winery's strategic goals.
•  Market Insights and Adaptation: Analyze market trends to identify opportunities and challenges, adapting sales strategies to meet evolving market needs.
•  Brand Promotion and Event Leadership: Maximize brand exposure through active participation in industry events and promotional activities.
•  Allocation and Inventory Management: Oversee the efficient management of wine allocations and inventory, ensuring optimal distribution and market availability.
•  Sales Team Development: Cultivate a high-performing sales team, emphasizing continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development.
•  Required Experience: Candidates must bring a minimum of five years' experience in Wine & Spirits sales, showcasing expertise in market development, distributor management, and team leadership.

Education and/or Experience
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify. A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as allocations, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Qualifications, Skills and/or Abilities
Must possess a high level of knowledge regarding wine production, winery sales and marketing skills and a history of the California wine industry. Must also possess wine tasting skills and the ability to evaluate and discuss Jordan wines versus our competitors.
Ability to travel to the assigned territory with the frequency dictated by business needs, is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and navigating the Internet is required.
