| Award Winning* Napa Valley Cabernet Franc 2-3 tons (the last bit of ’09 Harvest) The vineyard is located on the east side of the valley, just north of Oak Knoll Avenue, on Silverado Trail. Planted in 1990, this is a small lot of grapes on 3-5% slope of sandy loam soils, atop a bed of volcanic rock at the valley’s edge. Recent honors with this fruit include: Double Gold Medal - 2004 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 7 other Silver Medals – • San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition - 2005, (the only Napa Valley Cab Franc medal winner in it’s class) • San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition - 2003 • Jerry Mead’s New World International Wine Competition - 2002 & 2004 • Wine Country Magazine’s North of the Gate Wine Competition - 2003 & 2004 • Bon Appetite San Francisco International Wine Competition - 2003 “90” Rating - The Wine Reporter, Issue Nov/Dec 2004 The vineyard is ready NOW!
