The buzz (at least here in Washington) generated by the Spectator's "Wine of the Year" choice is worth at least another post, so here goes. The twin poles of in-state commentary are best represented by the Wine Commission, who put out a predictably chirpy press release, and Jon Rimmerman of Garagiste, whose thoughts closely mirror my own.
