Job Description:

Santa Margherita USA is seeking a Wine Educator. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Ca’ del Bosco and Portfolio Fine Wine Specialist and is located in Miami Beach, Florida.

Position Objectives: To support the education of wholesale & company sales forces by providing high quality and consistent wine education programs and sales skills training to distributor and importer sales forces across the United States.

Job Responsibilities:

o Develop education programs at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
o Synthesize information and communicate it effectively to both a sales audience and a consumer audience.
o Organize course materials, research and develop content with proficiency.
o Create and update courses and programs.
o Prepare course materials and present packages across a variety of computer platforms and different mediums (Power Point, traditional print, and e-learning delivery mediums).
Deliver seminars/webinars to provide general wine knowledge, emphasize portfolio knowledge, incorporate sales skills selling tools to enable synthesis between wine knowledge and selling abilities.
o Analyze results of the training programs and products.
o Work with sales and marketing managers and understand brand and sales strategies to best support their efforts through training.
o Organize and perform market visits to support sales and marketing efforts.


Additional Skills and/or Educational Background:

•  Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant training certification.
•  2 to 3 years experience in the design and development of education program preferable in the wine or spirits industry.
•  Prior wine sales selling, marketing experience or sales training experience.
•  Experience in applying education and training curriculum to field sales very useful.
•  Excellent organizational skills along with demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
•  Sharp editing skills and good grammar and punctuation is required.
•  Industry Credentials are necessary: CWE, Court of Master Sommelier, WSET, etc.
•  Ability to travel upon demand (30%)
•  Participates in training programs, educational opportunities, reads professional publications.
•  Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
•  Willingness to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion.
•  Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
