About Mill Creek

Mill Creek Vineyards and Winery is a small, estate winery, still owned and operated by the founding Kreck family. Vineyards were first planted in 1965 and the winery was established in 1974. The award-winning wines are produced from grapes grown on the winery estate, the family home in Alexander Valley, and a few select neighboring vineyards. We will crush between 100-150 tons this year.

Essential Duties

We are looking to add an intern to our small winemaking team for the 2024 harvest. You will be involved in every winemaking aspect for crush! Job duties include:
- crush pad operations
- pump overs / punch downs
- basic lab analysis
- yeast and nutrient additions
- fermentation tracking
- shoveling out tanks for pressing
- wine and juice movement
- sorting fruit
- cleaning and sanitation
- grape sampling

This is a highly labor-intensive and physical job, be prepared to lift 50 lbs regularly, climb ladders, and sometimes work inside tight spaces. We work 6 days a week, sometimes with long hours. We are looking for people who have harvest experience, who are passionate about wine, have a positive attitude, are detail oriented, enjoy tasting wine, and are willing to work hard. A good sense of humor is a must! Especially when the grapes hit the fan.

Must have clean driving record. Expect 40-50 hrs/week. Position runs approximately September 1st to November 1st. Please send resumes with a cover letter through the link below.
