Title: Walla Walla Tasting Room Associate- Seasonal
Schedule: May 24 – September 28; 3:30pm – Close (approx. 7:30pm) Fridays and Saturdays
Reports to: Tasting Room Manager & General Manager

The tasting rooms are an integral part of Otis Kenyon Wine’s sales, promotions and an extension of our brand. Our goal is to create an environment in the tasting room that is welcoming to customers and showcases our wine, our story, and our brand. We want to provide customers with an experience that enhances their knowledge of Otis Kenyon Wine, including our current releases, the Walla Walla Valley Appellation, and our commitment to quality.
The Walla Walla Tasting Room Associate- Seasonal position is designed to assist the Tasting Room Manager in the busy season. This role will be in a team atmosphere for most of the shift, with closing the tasting room without supervision. There are also the possibility of additional fill-in shifts as the opportunity presents itself. Due to the nature of this position, candidates must be 21 years of age or older to apply, no exceptions.

Responsibilities:
Direct Wine Sales
Wine sold from the tasting rooms is the most profitable wine sale and needs to be merchandised as such.
•  Make sure the Walla Walla Tasting Room exemplifies the high quality of our wines in presentation and cleanliness.
•  Present wine club and other promotions to winery visitors.
•  Provide general tourist information.
Day-to-Day Operations
•  Pour and serve wine for guests while providing an excellent customer experience.
•  Close tasting room only after the last guest has completed their experience.
•  Assure that the tasting room is well stocked with all needed items, cleaned, and organized.
•  Maintain ‘Incident Report Notebook’ detailing any issues related to serving alcohol or customer service.
Special Event Participation
Otis Kenyon Wine participates in many wine events and tastings around the Walla Walla area and beyond. The Tasting Room Associate may be called upon to represent us at selected events.
•  Represent Otis Kenyon Wine professionally at all times.
•  Help coordinate and execute all efforts associated with event in a manner that maximizes brand exposure and sales.

Miscellaneous Responsibilities
•  Take initiative to communicate needs and ideas.
•  Be knowledgeable of all computer applications relating to tasting room sales.
•  OrderPort, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace
•  Keep desks and all public workspaces clean and tidy as allowed.
•  Complete work in a timely fashion.
•  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•  Ability to lift 40+ pounds.
•  Maintain or will acquire Food Worker Card.
•  Maintain or will acquire WSLCB MAST Class 12 Permit.
•  21 years of age or older.

Compensation/Benefits
$17-20 per hour DOE
