Since our first vintage in 2017, Siboney Cellars has been building our ambition, prowess and capacity into a very exciting project, focusing on small batch, hand crafted Texas wines. Siboney (see-bow-nay) is a family owned, award winning winery and vineyard committed to advancing the overall Texas Wine movement.

Siboney’s Mission is to produce the highest quality wines form the Texas Hill Country and High Plains AVAs. We are dedicated to crafting premier, hand crafted 100% Texas wines, and creating a fun, inviting and engaging atmosphere – aesthetics and ambiance – architecture, view, courtyards – welcoming visitors and club members. We will share our collective journey through wine and our unique experiences, and the story behind the name Siboney. Our mission is to extend the ultimate in hospitality, friendly wine education, visitor and member interaction in the winery and high-end tasting experiences.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Tasting Room Ambassador to join our Premier Cru Team. Experience is preferred, but we will be happy to train a detail oriented individual with a passion for wine, a desire to work hard, learn fast, and enjoy life.

General Duties:

Courteously greet visitors, creating an exceptional first impression by providing a warm and gracious welcome to each visitor, as well as ensure that each guest understands the wine experiences, tastings offered, tasting fees and any other information that will enhance their visit including answering questions regarding the winery, history, and surrounding area. Enter appropriate guest information into the reservation system.

Provide knowledgeable, consistent and courteous responses to questions, complaints and/or problems. Ensure that all problems are resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Promote and sell wines and merchandise by assisting and educating guests in tasting wines and making purchasing decisions.

Share knowledge and Siboney Stories about all wines, cigars, and merchandise in an open and friendly manner with the goal of helping customers develop enthusiasm and appreciation of our wines and Texas Wines.
Promote membership in wine club as applicable.
Fulfill customer orders and use POS to complete sales. Properly operate POS and accurately follow transaction procedures.

Assist guests with transporting purchases to their vehicle or arrange for pick-up, shipment or delivery.

Ensure that merchandise displays and tasting bar are kept in immaculate condition.
Setup tasting bar with necessary supplies. Wash tasting glasses and assist with other cleanup as needed.

Serve food programing including gourmet plates and other food pairings as ordered by guests, following all appropriate food handling procedures.

Record tasting wines used. Make sure empty bottles are put in appropriate holding area.

Other Duties:

-Assist in training and orientation for new and/or on-call staff.
-Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member's safety.
-Host/Serve specialty programs, club events, lunches or dinner as assigned.
-Promote and represent winery by pouring at off and on-premise special events.
-Maintain, update and expand knowledge of the winery, viticulture, enology and food by participating in educational training, seminars and tastings within the Winery and through outside sources.
-May perform and/or oversee daily cash reconciliation and opening/close of day responsibilities on cash register with POS system.
-Ensure merchandise is tagged, fold clothing as needed, and assist in keeping stockroom neat and organized.
-May assist with quarterly wine or merchandise physical inventories and assist in restocking of case inventory.

Pay scale $17-$20 plus gratuities

This is a part-time position. Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday. Flexibility to cover other shifts as needed.
