ANALYTICS

Total winery direct-to-consumer (DTC) shipment value reached $551 million in November and that works out to a per 750 ml average of $61.46, which is a new record for the month and nearly 6% higher than a year ago. The average bottle price for the past 12 months was nearly $94, which is 9% more than last year. Shipment data reveals that $200-plus wines buoyed the fortunes of Cab, which represents 31% of total DTC shipments. The very highest price bracket was the only tier of Cabernet to see value and volume growth. Winery DTC data is one of the regular Industry Metrics, reported each month in the Wine Analytics Report.
