Mural City Cellars is seeking a high-motivated, quick-on-their-feet, adaptable human to wow our guests, grow our team, and keep the business running! This job is mixed running the floor at our busy wine bar/retail shop and outdoor seasonal wine garden as well as administrative time.

Projects Include

Staff Management
Direct report for FOH team, Leads & KHs
Direct report for leads - weekly 1:1s, goal setting, education, growth, assignments, projects, etc
Create schedule for hourly staff and floor schedule for managers
Hire/Train
Run Bi-weekly Payroll
Count & Distribute tips
Staff reviews, check ins, disciplinary actions
Organize quarterly staff trainings and monthly quizzes w support from Leads
Create and maintain training materials w support from Leads (keep an up-to-date Study Guide)
Weekly staff updates

Service
Open and close winery and garden - ensure standards for service, facilities, staff, and hospitality are met
Maintain health department guidelines
Make suggestions for more efficiency and better hospitality
Help staff get to where they need to be
Get to know regulars and other winery guests
Garden - Book music and food, assist with opening and closing the garden season, and working the garden w support from Garden Lead
Weekly update of the wine list and menu, working with winemaking team to move through inventory effectively

Admin
Weekly 1:1 with Co-owner, set agenda
Monitor the info email
Other strategic projects and software evaluation
Other duties as assigned

Ordering/Vendor Relationships
Working with winemaking team to ensure MC wine is properly stocked for service, events, and allocation
Maintain the winery’s stock of dry goods, food, and guest wines/beers w support from Leads
Manage the food program with sales reports, updates to menu, etc
Manage and schedule linens, trash, cleaning, pest and other contractors w support from Leads
Hitting at or below monthly budget categories
Jetro shopping trips

Wine Club
Assist Member Lead with management of Wine Club
