Position Overview
Tasting Room Hosts are responsible for creating memorable guest experiences by providing exceptional customer service and sharing extensive knowledge of our wines, estate, and story. The TR Hosts are the face of our winery, fostering a customer experience rooted in hospitality by warmly welcoming guests, guiding them through tastings, and occasionally leading educational tours for large groups. In this role, the TR Hosts will promote and sell wines, process transactions using our point-of-sale system, and encourage wine club memberships. They will also assist with daily operational tasks such as restocking wine and retail items, maintaining the cleanliness of the tasting room, and representing the winery at offsite events as needed.
To be considered for this position, you must be at least 21 years old, possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate a customer-focused attitude. The ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive motions such as bending and stooping, and lift up to 50 pounds is required. Weekend, holiday, and occasional evening availability is necessary to meet the business's needs.

Key Responsibilities
•  Deliver Customer Experience
o Welcome all visitors with warm enthusiasm and craft unforgettable guest experiences.
o Provide a wide range of experiences that the winery offers while delivering personalized service.
o Explain wines, recount the winery's history, and address visitor inquiries with expertise.
o Conduct tours and tastings for all levels, including leading group tours with up to 30 guests.

•  Sell Wines and Club Memberships
o Promote and sell wine along with wine club memberships to achieve sales goals.
o Utilize the winery's point-of-sale system to effectively manage routine sales transactions.

•  Maintain Clean Workspaces
o During downtime, assist with cleaning the facilities, dusting bottles, and stocking retail items and wines.
o Keep the tasting room and guest areas clean and organized.
•  Present the winery professionally at external events and functions as needed.
•  Always maintain a professional and courteous demeanor to improve the guest experience.

Work Environment
The Tasting Room Host role entails a dynamic work environment that blends indoor and outdoor settings. During downtime, tasks are mainly completed indoors, such as stocking and preparing the tasting room. Throughout hours of operation, around 50% of the work takes place outdoors, engaging with guests in the vineyard or patio areas, often in a variety of weather conditions. The position necessitates working closely with guests to deliver exceptional service and build relationships. Additionally, staff members collaborate in tight quarters, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining professionalism and efficiency in a busy environment.
