Sales and Marketing Manager

Job Description:

The Sales & Brand Manager is the point person for all sales-related action within the company, responsible for driving customer growth and retention by providing exceptional customer service, actively fostering the allocation/mailing list and distribution partnerships, executing targeted customer and wholesale outreach. This role plays a critical part in expanding our community of wine enthusiasts by cultivating meaningful relationships, identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, ensuring seamless order fulfillment, both for distribution and DTC channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Outreach
•  Proactively engage with customers via phone, email, and text to drive sales.
•  Follow up on leads from events and online purchases, converting interest to sales.
•  Develop relationships with members to increase retention, upsell additional purchases, and drive referrals.
•  Contact lapsed customers to encourage re-enrollment through personalized outreach
•  Maintain and provide critical analysis detailed records of customer interactions and sales progress in the CRM system.

Order Processing & Customer Management
•  Assist in executing all aspects of order processing, including payment conversions, invoicing, declines, and ensuring timely order fulfillment for all channels.
•  Manage the customer database, ensuring accurate customer records, preferences, order history and pricing
•  Communicate and resolve returned shipments with customers to ensure successful delivery.

Customer Engagement & Event Sales
•  Assist in executing customer events, ensuring a seamless VIP experience that fosters loyalty, excitement and additional sales.
Additional Responsibilities
•  Stay informed about the WeatherEye offerings to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
•  Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of our sales.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
•  College diploma or equivalent required.
•  Proven experience in sales, hospitality, or customer service; wine industry experience is a plus. 5+ years in Wine Sales
•  Strong proficiency in MS Excel, CRM software, and internet-based applications.

SKILLS AND APTITUDES:
•  Sales-driven mindset with a strong ability to convert leads and maximize revenue.
•  Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
•  Goal-oriented with a proactive approach to outreach, and sales follow-ups
•  Highly organized and detail-oriented, ensuring efficient order processing, data management and reporting
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities with professionalism.
•  Comfortable working in a team-oriented, high-call-volume office setting.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•  Primarily works in an office environment with email and phone. Remote work acceptable in a professional setting.
•  Customer service a priority. Positive attitude and ability to work with a team is critical.
•  Spends approximately 90% of the workday at a desk, using a computer and phone.
•  Occasionally required to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. over short distances.
•  Must be able to work under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
•  Must be able to work well under pressure. Occasional weekend duties are required. Some semi-regional (PNW) travel required.
