No job is too big or too small for our dynamic team that passionately educates, communicates, and markets on behalf of the 1,800 grape growers and vineyard owners in Sonoma and Marin Counties. In addition to the work of the Sonoma County Winegrowers (SCW), there is a management services agreement with the Sonoma County Grape Growers Foundation (Fundación de la Voz de los Viñedos) which supports our local vineyard employees in the areas of education, resiliency and workforce development.

Sonoma County Winegrowers is seeking an innovative and energetic assistant marketing manager to provide marketing, event and operations support to our local, regional, national and global marketing initiatives and partners, with a focus on our digital programming. This person must love agriculture, family business and wine and believe in the long-term value of preserving our local farms in the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

•  Assist the Director of Marketing with the execution of the annual marketing strategy, plan, calendar, and budget
•  Assist with social media strategy and create high quality, engaging content for all social platforms; monitor analytics to track performance, identify trends, and suggest improvements
•  Create video content on own and in coordination with partners for social, website, YouTube, eblast and other outlets
•  Manage radio shows and podcasts programming, including procuring guests, preparing backgrounders, coordinating appearances, and publishing
•  Compile and broadcast digital communications, including newsletters and press releases
•  Assist with the management of Winery Collaborative program including event logistics, partner outreach and tracking
•  Plan and attend marketing events, media dinners, Somm education and outreach that supports Sonoma County brand and region in Sonoma County and around the US
•  Manage event activations to include design recommendations, vendor procurement, and budget management
•  Assist with the creation of presentations for annual meetings, board meetings and committee meetings
•  Create collateral for marketing events as needed
•  Create SCW digital and print newsletters to include design, content and production
•  Work with regional, national and global partners including San Francisco Giants, Food & Wine Magazine, Landry’s, John Deers, Ford Pro, Wilbur Ellis and others
•  Support branding efforts that elevate Sonoma County wine region and Sonoma County Winegrowers, including a focus on sustainability leadership, climate stewardship, world-class wines and the region’s diversity
•  Assist with advertising and promotional campaigns including with national partners such as Food & Wine Magazine, Travel & Leisure, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator and regional partners such as Press Democrat, North Bay Business Journal, North Bay Biz Magazine and others
•  Other support as assigned

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with academic coursework in a relevant discipline (i.e., marketing, communications, journalism, public information, business administration or other closely related fields of study)

Excellent English language communication skills including the ability to read and summarize material in a broad range of professional publications and the ability to write clear, concise and compelling reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Fluency in languages other than English will be considered a plus, especially Spanish.

Knowledge and personal proficiency to use all Microsoft Office software as well as the Internet.

Must be able to travel to support the promotion of the region.
