Rack & Riddle Custom Wine Services, #1 custom sparkling wine producer in the United States, is currently looking to fill a Cellar Tech III position on our Lodi Cellar Team.
The Cellar Tech I is responsible for supporting the cellar staff day-to-day activities such as: upkeep of cellar cleanliness and organizing cellar supplies. Longer working hours during harvest season are required. Other ancillary tasks and projects will be provided on an as needed basis.
Reports to: Cellar Lead and Cellar Master
Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt
Essential Responsibilities
Pump-overs and punch-downs.
Removing pomace from tanks.
Barrel filling, topping and stirring.
Available to work on production bottling lines area as need.
Tank and equipment sanitation.
Assist other cellar workers with tasks as assigned.
Other tasks, in any department, as assigned by Management.
A successful candidate’s background includes:
Exposure to and knowledge of cellar operations preferred but not required.
Ability to work outdoors in cool and hot temperatures.
Ability to work in cold, wet, noisy environments.
Ability to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment is required.
Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and work at catwalk heights of 25 feet.
Must be able to work nights, overtime and weekends.
Hours: Full Time (plus overtime).
Ability to work individually and within team to achieve daily cellar goals.
Ability to read/understand work orders.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Ability to multitask is necessary.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds over short distances.
Must be ablet o sit, stand, walk, stretch, reach, grasp, crouch, turn, and kneel.
