Rockbound Cellars is a boutique, family-owned estate winery nestled in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. Founded by Fiorella and Colby DeRodeff, they embrace the profound influence of terroir, prioritizing organic farming practices and meticulous vineyard care to craft limited quantities of premium Bordeaux and Rhône-style wines.
We are excited to announce the opening of our new tasting room in downtown Paso Robles and are looking for individuals to join our team and help us create memorable experiences for our guests.

Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Tasting Room Associate to represent Rockbound Cellars at our new downtown Paso Robles tasting room open Thursday to Sunday. In this role, you will provide warm, memorable experiences for our guests while sharing the story of our winery, vineyards, and wines. You will report to and often work side by side with the owner and winemaker. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about wine and hospitality who enjoy building meaningful connections with people.
Additional responsibilities include and are not limited to: on-time opening and closing of the Tasting Room, maintaining a clean and inviting space, ability to learn and confidently operate Vinoshipper POS/membership software and reservation software, have an in-depth understanding of Rockbound Cellar’s offerings, and maintaining a clean environment (e.g. bussing tables, polishing glasses, cleaning, etc).

Key Responsibilities:
•  Welcome guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
•  Lead guided wine tastings to members and guests ensuring an engaging and informative experience.
•  Educate visitors about Rockbound Cellars’ history, winemaking philosophy, and wine offerings.
•  Promote wine club memberships and drive sales of wine and merchandise.
•  Assist with daily operations, including opening and closing the tasting room, restocking wine and supplies, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment.
•  Support special events as needed.
•  Accurately process transactions using the POS system.
•  Adhere to all ABC and TTB regulations, ensuring a responsible and safe environment for guests.
Qualifications:
•  Previous experience in wine, hospitality, or customer service is preferred but not required.
•  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•  Enthusiasm for wine and a desire to learn about Rockbound Cellars’ offerings.
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
•  Must be at least 21 years of age.
•  Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
•  Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional events.
•  Prioritize the safety of our guests, fellow team members, and follow all ABC guidelines for alcoholic beverage service (RBS certification required ahead of hiring)
