Established in 1991, King Estate is located in Eugene in the Willamette Valley AVA. At 1,033 acres, it is the largest certified Biodynamic® vineyard in North America. King Estate is famed for its world-class Oregon Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. This is an in-person, guest-facing position that requires a positive approach to all situations and excellent communication skills with customers, staff and management.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, work efficiently, and demonstrate initiative.
Requirements/Competencies
• Strong wine knowledge
• Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
• Energetic and positive leader with exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task and quickly troubleshoot in a fast paced environment
• Five years or more of experience in high-volume tasting room and/or restaurant
• Expert knowledge of POS and reservations systems
Responsibilities
• Capable of stepping into any role within the Tasting Room
• Understand the steps of service, execute them with efficiency and grace
• Maintain policies, practices and standards for all staff in, and related to, the Tasting Room and Restaurant
• Assist with staff assignments, reservations, and large party request
• Ability to manage multiple projects with thorough focus on detail
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Other Requirements
• Maintain professional demeanor and dress
• Have or ability to obtain a valid OLCC and food handlers card
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly, stand and walk for extended periods of time
