Paid Harvest Internship with housing

Epoch Estate Wines in Paso Robles is seeking two dedicated and disciplined harvest candidates. Each year a couple candidates are selected to join our team for a fun, educational and busy harvest season. The successful candidates will have a strong work ethic as well as a desire to learn about winemaking and contribute to a team environment. This is a temporary position that will run from late August to early November, though the dates are subject to change depending on vintage conditions.

Under the supervision of the winemaking team, the duties of the position include but are not limited to:
- equipment set-up
- sanitation in all areas of the production facility and equipment
- participation and oversight of sorting/destemming operations
- additions of so2, nutrients, yeast, etc.
- monitoring fermentation progress - punchdowns/pumpovers/delestage - meticulous attention to record keeping
- assisting with pressing and barreling down
- battonage and topping of barrels

Qualifications:
- must be reliable, energetic, and ready to work
- must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions
- must be comfortable with asking for help or clarification when needed
- must be able to lift up to 50lbs. on a repetitive basis, work standing up and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time.
- must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- must possess clean, current driver's license and have own transportation

Compensation:

$20-$21 per hour with housing included. Rate of pay will be determined by depth of experience and qualifications.
