Job Description:

Overview:
Tamber Bey Vineyards, a premier winery on a 22-acre horse ranch in Calistoga, seeks a Winery Facilities & Ranch Manager to oversee the winery and ranch's maintenance and operations. This position involves managing a small team, ensuring the upkeep of property and equipment, and coordinating horse care. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position requires a hands-on approach to facility management, machinery troubleshooting, and emergency response.
Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Property Management:
Supervise a team of 2-3 facilities workers.
Maintain the property to a high standard, including buildings, equipment, and grounds.
Manage procurement for services, tools, and horse-related items while adhering to budget constraints.

Horse Care:
Oversee feeding, watering, and general care of horses.

Equipment & Facility Maintenance:
Inspect, maintain, and repair water systems for the winery and horse facilities.
Troubleshoot machinery issues, document repairs, and ensure compliance with specifications.
Perform equipment, machinery, pens, yards, fences, and buildings maintenance.
Operate trucks, tractors, and other machinery for property upkeep.

Technical Oversight:
Conduct basic electrical installations safely in compliance with regulations.
Perform welding operations and machining tasks using tools like drill presses.
Maintain fire systems and alarms related to key property systems.

Wastewater Management:
Manage the LYVE winery wastewater system effectively.

Vendor Coordination:
Interact with contractors to obtain quotes and ensure regulatory compliance for services performed.

Safety & Emergency Response:
Promote occupational safety standards; provide feedback on safety performance.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for property improvements; execute work with quality standards.

Reporting:
Provide weekly updates to management regarding progress, issues, and concerns.

Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is highly desirable.
High school diploma or equivalent certification required; vocational training preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance roles within construction or industrial settings preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., hay bales) regularly.

Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing concepts.
Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel at a basic level.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually (DOE). Actual compensation depends on education, experience, skills, and abilities.
