Rack & Riddle, the #1 custom sparkling wine producer in the US, is looking to add an Senior Account Manager to our growing team!
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Account Manager with a proven track record in sales, preferably within the winery or beverage industry. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining strong client relationships while driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will bring over 7 years of professional sales experience and a deep understanding of account management best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identifying, qualifying, and securing sparkling wine business opportunities at wineries in California and other states and wine regions.
• Building business relationships with potential and ongoing clients.
• Collaborating with the Business Development Team and leadership to secure, retain, and grow winery accounts.
• Developing customized targeted sales strategies i.e., by wine region.
• Creating informative presentations; Presenting and delivering information to potential sparking wine clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences.
• Coordinating business generation activities.
• Responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Answering potential client questions and follow-up inquiries from existing clients.
• Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospective sparkling wine clients.
• Maintaining short and long-term business development plans.
• Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients.
• Understanding the sparkling wine category and clients’ needs and offering solutions and support.
• Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources.
• Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, trade shows.
• Closing sales and working with client through the contract process.
• Meeting or exceeding annual sales goals.
• Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting.
• Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate’s background includes:
• 7+ years wine sales experience or related field. Strong preference for experience in the wine or beverage industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
• Experience with lead generation and prospect management.
• Comfortable making cold calls and prospecting daily.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
• Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Ability to manage complex project, multi-task and manage time efficiently.
• In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry.
• Able to professionally and confidently communicate with Business Development Team and Leaders.
• Able to work accurately under stress and pressure to meet competing deadlines.
• Demonstrated success in securing and managing high-value client accounts and achieving revenue growth.
• Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with challenges.
• Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close.
• Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Out-look, and Excel).
• Proficient in CRM software and other sales tools.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs. intermittently
