We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the Distinguished Vineyards Finance team! Reporting to the Sr. FP&A Manager, this role is responsible for partnering with cross functional team leaders to provide actionable insights through analysis and reporting. This role is a key member of the Finance team and works closely with the Direct-to-Consumer, Vineyard, and Winery teams in Northern California and Oregon. This role is based in Overland Park, KS and is a full-time, salaried position, working hybrid 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday and the incumbent qualifies for our outstanding health care benefits, PTO, 401k plan, wine allowance and more!
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-6 years experience in commercial and financial reporting roles
- College Degree from and accredited college or university in Finance/Business/Mathematics/Computer science or related field
- Direct experience in delivering business results through risk and opportunity identification and planning
- Direct experience in delivering system and process continuous improvement initiatives
- Track record of generating and sharing insights to align stakeholders on next steps
- Advanced / Power User skills and experience in Excel, PowerBI, Modelling and Forecasting
- Knowledge in the wine industry or consumer products experience
- Technical knowledge with Microsoft Excel (advanced), Power BI, and in Vintrace, Commerce 7 & Enolytics,Microsoft Dynamic NAV, and SQL are preferred
- CPA preferred
- Ability to deliver accurate outcomes in a tight timeframe
- Ability to build strong relationships across business units and functions
- Ability to handle high levels of ambiguity and complexity
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and oral communication skills, able to succinctly share key insights
- Proven ability to leverage technology to drive change and continuous improvement
- Acumen in understanding financial metrics and their application to real world business setting
- Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Planning:
- Facilitate the annual planning and forecast processes (AOP/CAF) for ensuring alignment of key assumption drivers with business partners
- Support CAPEX project planning and spend reporting to ensure all projects are on-budget and assets are capitalized timely
- Champion digital transformation at all levels of the organization
Direct-to-Consumer:
- Build effective management reporting tools for business partners to track key performance indicators (KPIs) vs. plan (hours, sales, overheads, visitation, club signups/attrition, etc.)
- Provide actionable financial insights, planning, analysis, risk management, and corporate governance for the DTC businesses
- Provide support to DTC Leadership in decision making
- Identify and implement improvements to current financial tools and reporting.
- Provide support to DTC teams on financial transactions
- Work closely with accounting team to ensure accurate reporting
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in daily tasks
Be an effective team member by:
