Position Overview
Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association is seeking a highly creative, strategic, and tech-savvy Digital Marketing Manager to elevate the visibility and desirability of Temecula Valley Wine Country. This role is ideal for a digital storyteller who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, and who is passionate about driving engagement and visitation through compelling content and data-driven campaigns.
Essential Job Duties:
Social Media Marketing
• Lead social media strategy and content planning to drive brand awareness and engagement across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
• Oversee the end-to-end content creation process including photo and video production, editing, copywriting, carousel and reel development, and content scheduling—ensuring consistency with brand voice and aesthetic.
• Manage and optimize the monthly social media boosting budget.
• Collaborate with Visit Temecula Valley and partners to align digital marketing efforts and amplify regional campaigns.
• Stay ahead of social media trends, platform changes, and content formats; implement new strategies accordingly.
• Analyze campaign performance across platforms, offering data-driven insights tied to engagement, website traffic, and regional visitation.
Email Marketing Management
• Own the email marketing program in Klaviyo, overseeing strategy, content creation, list segmentation, and the execution of timely, high-impact campaigns.
• Design visually engaging and on-brand email templates that drive engagement.
• Implement and continuously refine automated flows, such as welcome sequences, event promotions, and re-engagement campaigns.
• Lead testing and optimization initiatives including A/B testing, personalization, and new formats to improve open rates, click-throughs, and user actions.
• Ensure all email campaigns align with overall marketing objectives and complement social media, paid ads, and website efforts.
Marketing Support & Cross-Channel Execution
• Oversee website updates and content management, ensuring timely promotion of events, blog posts, and initiatives.
• Support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including paid media, influencer partnerships, and co-branded promotions.
• Manage creative asset development and ensure brand consistency across all digital and print touchpoints.
• Support public relations initiatives, including influencer outreach, content partnerships, and press release development.
• Collaborate with creative professionals (photographers, videographers, designers) to source and produce high-quality marketing content.
• Write engaging and strategic copy for social media, web, blog, and email content.
• Maintain and organize the digital asset library for internal and partner use.
• Lead monthly and quarterly performance reporting for owned channels; evaluate KPIs and share insights to inform broader marketing strategy and annual planning.
• Primary duties include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in digital marketing with a proven track record in social media, email marketing, and content creation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actionable strategies.
• Proficiency in Klaviyo, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Canva, and CMS tools (e.g., WordPress).
• Exceptional communication and copywriting skills, with the ability to craft compelling, persuasive content.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities independently.
• Must be based within driving distance of Temecula and available for in-person meetings and content capture at local wineries.
• Passion for wine, hospitality, or destination marketing is a strong plus!
Physical/Sensory/Cognitive Requirements to Perform Essential Job Functions
• Cognitive and reasoning ability to compare and analyze data and trend research.
• Conceptual ability to develop creative programs and products.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and occasional overnight travel.
• Able to work in a remote office environment. Remote work is subject to change at any time.
• Able to sit at a desk for 6-8 hours per day, if required
• Able to stand for long periods, as necessary, at special events.
• Able to operate a computer keyboard and view computer screen for 7-8 hours daily, if required.
• Able to hear and converse via telephone and in person.
• Able to bend and stretch to reach file drawers.
• Required to lift boxes and small equipment to 50 pounds in weight.
