Position Overview
-Davesté Vineyards seeks an enthusiastic Tasting Room Ambassador to represent our family-owned winery and deliver exceptional guest experiences in our tasting room. This role is central to showcasing our award-winning wines, engaging visitors with knowledge and warmth, and fostering a welcoming environment that reflects Davesté’s commitment to gracious hospitality. The Tasting Room Ambassador will guide guests through our wine portfolio, promote wine club memberships, and contribute to a clean and inviting space, with opportunities to grow into hosting private tastings and vineyard tours.

Key Responsibilities
-Serve as a knowledgeable representative of Davesté Vineyards, educating guests on our full wine portfolio, including varietals, production methods, and accolades.
-Explain the differences between our wines (e.g., Esté sparkling, still reds, whites, rosés and dessert) to help guests identify styles that suit their preferences.
-Provide outstanding hospitality by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and ensuring they feel valued and welcome throughout their visit.
-Promote and sell wine club memberships, articulating the benefits and value to encourage long-term engagement with Davesté Vineyards.
-Maintain a clean and organized tasting room, adhering to hygiene standards by wiping down surfaces, clearing glassware, and restocking supplies as needed.
-Assist with wine pours, ensuring accurate servings.
-Collaborate with the Tasting Room Manager and team to support daily operations and deliver a seamless guest experience.
-Potential to develop into hosting private and guided tastings for groups, as well as leading tours of the vineyard and winery facilities, with training provided.

Qualifications
-Strong knowledge of wine, with the ability to articulate differences in styles, flavors, and pairings—experience with Davesté’s portfolio or willingness to learn required.
-Genuine passion for hospitality and a welcoming demeanor, with excellent interpersonal skills to connect with diverse guests.
-Proven ability or eagerness to sell wine club memberships and promote winery offerings in a natural, guest-focused manner.
-Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a clean and professional workspace.
-Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, holidays, and occasional events (e.g., wine festivals, winemaker dinners).
-Desire to grow into hosting private tastings and vineyard tours, with strong communication and presentation skills as an asset.
-Previous experience in a tasting room, hospitality, or customer-facing role preferred but not required—training will be provided.
-Must be 21 years of age or older due to alcohol service requirements.

Physical Requirements
-Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (e.g., 4–8 hours) during shifts.
-Capacity to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (e.g., wine cases) for restocking or event setup.
-Dexterity to pour wine accurately and handle glassware safely.
