Job Summary:
An Overshine Wine Company Tasting Room Sales Associate is a dynamic wine sales professional possessing the ability to work in a fast-paced environment focusing on curating exceptional experiences and providing best-in-class customer service. This position requires one to be a self-starter, confident in their ability to sell luxury wine, and work in a team-oriented environment. This position will be responsible for providing stellar hospitality experiences for our guests, developing new relationships with clients in person, via phone and through email outreach. This position may also include occasional travel to local lodging partners to host lobby pourings and tastings. Essential duties and Responsibilities:
• Executes and maximizes in-person tasting experiences and outbound sales campaigns to meet or exceed monthly/annual sales targets assigned by Hospitality Manager.
• Strengthens preexisting member and client relationships, while establishing new relationships via in person, phone and email sales solicitations.
• Represent the winery ethos and develop our client base via a multitude of communication styles including in-person, phone, email, events, etc.
• Displays a professional level of comfort when asking for the sale and the subscription, as a part of every guest experience
• Develops referral partners through business development activities to drive sales and awareness for the property, as assigned by Hospitality Manager.
• Assists in execution of hospitality events, calls, and digital communications in a manner that is well organized and consistent with winery expectations.
• Possesses knowledge of Point of Sales systems, including ability to perform opening and closing procedures
• Work with Hospitality Manager and all other cross-functional departments to create a thoughtful, knowledgeable experience our customers have come to expect
• Conduct hotel and lobby pours as needed to maintain and strengthen relationships with our lodging partners
• Completes daily opening and closing duties alongside and/or as assigned by management
• Completes daily, running, weekly and monthly side work duties alongside and/or as assigned by management
• Supports trade hospitality events as needed, and other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3+ years related experience preferred in sales, customer service or hospitality
• Knowledge of wines and ability to tell the story that promotes loyalty and sales
• Effective salesperson
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
• Competency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Outstanding ability in customer service and working with the public
• Commitment to excellence, high standards and working effectively within a team
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking and analytical skills
• Flexibility and ability to manage changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Must be fluent in English
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly
