The Reservations & Host position is a key front-facing role that represents the Kistler brand through warm, thoughtful, and detail-oriented hospitality. This position manages tasting reservations across multiple calendars via email, phone, and text, while also offering personalized recommendations for local hotels, restaurants, and activities to enhance the guest visit.

In addition to coordinating guest details and assisting with materials, the Reservations & Host also hosts tastings daily and assists with placing orders and customer data entry. The role requires strong organizational skills, a high level of professionalism, and a genuine passion for hospitality and wine.

All team members at the Trenton Roadhouse are cross trained to ensure a seamless, elevated experience for every guest.

Open availability, including weekends, some holidays, and evenings, is required.

GUEST EXPERIENCE & RESERVATIONS:
•  Host visiting guests, ensuring a welcoming and engaging experience that represents Kistler Vineyards at the highest level.
•  Assist visiting guests with making purchases, clearly communicating limitations and shipping guidelines.
•  Print custom wine menus on a daily basis.
•  Notify management of supply needs.
•  Assist in ensuring the tasting room is set up and maintained to the highest standards.
•  Collaborate with the hospitality team to host events.
•  Confirm and manage reservations, ensuring an organized and efficient booking system.
•  Taste and open wines daily for quality control, ensuring every bottle meets Kistler Vineyards’ standards.
•  Cross reference Outlook calendar and Tock for booking availability.
•  Connect with local concierges and maintain existing relationships and develop new relationships.
•  Work with Hospitality Director for VIP bookings and Event requests.
•  Notify waitlist guests if openings on the calendar become available.
•  Work with management to offer alternative options for wait-listed guests.
•  Set up and clean up tastings with the housekeeper, including polishing glassware.
•  Send follow-up emails to visiting guests when needed, thank you cards when appropriate and updated notes within Tock and KV Rainbow, Kistler’s proprietary CRM
database.
•  Deeply understand and embody the Kistler Vineyards brand and its history, future, and the wines themselves.
•  Analyze guest data and historical trends to identify opportunities for increased revenue within brand guidelines.
•  Thoughtfully drive allocation sign-ups and wine sales to new guests/customers.
•  Promote customer retention and engagement for existing allocation list members.
•  Cultivate new allocation list members.

Qualifications:
•  Experience in hospitality & the wine industry.
•  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•  Ability to multitask and efficiently manage reservations.
•  Basic knowledge of wine and a willingness to learn more.
•  Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
•  Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
•  Familiarity with the Kistler Vineyards’ peer group and competitive set.

Compensation & Benefits:
•  Hourly Pay Range: $33 - $35, based on experience.
