HOSPITALITY ASSOCIATE
Our winery is seeking an enthusiastic, wine-knowledgeable individual to join our team. We are a small, family-owned winery and we are looking for an employee who is versatile and willing to take on a variety of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about wine and food, and excel at both the hospitality and sales aspect of the position. We are happy to train the right person.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-Create exceptional guest experiences in an engaging and authentic way, ensuring that all guests are educated on winery history and winemaking practices
-Complete daily opening and closing duties
-Maintain a clean, organized retail space
-POS, Tock reservation system, and customer data entry
-Accurately complete end-of-day reports, reconcile daily sales and post transactions
-Administrative duties such as responding to phone & email inquiries and assisting with quarterly wine offerings

QUALIFICATIONS
-Ideal candidate will be outgoing, fun, conversational, and enjoys working with the public
-Confident with public speaking, hosting both small and larger groups
-Effectively communicates with guests, staff and management
-Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work collaboratively
-Ability to quickly solve practical problems and deal with periodic customer issues
-Demonstrate initiative and willingness to work special events and support special projects
-Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance at all times

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
-1-2 years related experience in wine or retail industry
-Previous sales experience with luxury brands preferred
-Experience using WineDirect and Tock reservation system preferred
-Wine degree or related certification a plus
-Familiarity with Sonoma County’s hospitality landscape (restaurants, wineries, hotels, attractions) a plus

JOB REQUIREMENTS
-Must be 21 years or older
-Part time at 20-24 hrs per week, weekends are required.
-Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for long periods of time
-Must be able to complete California Food Handler Certificate and California Responsible Beverage
Service trainings within 60 days of hire
