Director of Estate Relations & Hospitality

We are a small family-owned estate winery on Howell Mountain crafting Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc grown using organic and biodynamic practices. The Estate is seeking a proficient and enthusiastic Director of Estate Relations & Hospitality. This leadership role will have responsibilities spanning from management of all DTC sales, hospitality, business development and growth of referral partnerships throughout the wine and travel industry.

The overarching goal of the Director of Estate Relations & Hospitality is to lead sales and generate growth of the mailing list, increase onsite traffic, develop off-site sales and curate relationships throughout The Napa Valley and beyond, while preserving the core values of our luxury brand.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Oversee all hospitality visits and events
•  Host tastings with confidence and knowledge in discussing wines, varietals, winemaking/viticulture practices, growing areas, winery history
•  Supervise hospitality team members
•  Develop & execute off-site sales events & in home-tastings
•  Properly vet all inquiries to visit the estate
•  Reserve tastings and send confirmation emails, confirm prior to visit date
•  Create new member profiles, submit orders
•  Perform mailing list sign-up outreach, including making new member phone calls
•  Utilize customer service techniques and help alleviate or solve member problems
•  Act as a concierge to members with inquiries booking trips to The Napa Valley
•  Develop, implement, and adjust visitation policies
•  Create & send daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
•  Track overall trends in visitation and sales
•  Track referrals on referral database monthly, quarterly, and annually
•  Manage all sales campaigns from start to finish
•  Conceptualize and execute strategic plans for increasing onsite traffic
•  Organize and assist in leading Sales Meetings with the General Manager
•  Sell wine through onsite, phone, or email sales methods
•  Communicate with referral partners after each tasting
•  Organize partner visits and gifts and implement plan from creation to delivery
•  Plan & execute hospitality & industry events and tastings at the Estate
•  Attend offsite events, both during and after hours
•  Pour at off-site wine events
•  Identify hospitality partners and execute introductions to the Estate
•  Oversee and monitor on-site wine inventory
•  Often set up and tear down tastings, including buffing and cleaning
•  Perform deliveries of gifts, wine, or miscellaneous items on a regular basis
•  Member outreach
•  Edit and manage printing of all order forms, tasting sheets, and additional tasting materials
•  Filter the general info email inbox and respond to guests and referrals directly
•  Update and maintain Wine Direct content and correct errors
•  Manage the hospitality schedule and calendar

Successful candidates will be:?
•  Proficient in managing databases such as POS, Wine Direct, and NetSuite.
•  Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
•  Passionate about hospitality and excellent at communication with guests and referral partners ??
