Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Tasting Room Associate to represent Michael David Winery at our Lodi tasting room. In this role, you will provide warm, memorable experiences for our guests while sharing the story of our winery, vineyards, and wines. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about wine and who enjoy building meaningful connections with people.
Additional responsibilities include and are not limited to on-time opening and closing of the Tasting Room, maintaining a clean and inviting space, ability to learn and confidently operate Wine Direct POS, have an in-depth understanding of Michael David Winery’s offerings, and maintaining a clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Welcome guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
•  Lead guided wine tastings to members and guests ensuring an engaging and informative experience.
•  Educate visitors about Michael David Winery’s history, winemaking philosophy, and wine offerings.
•  Promote wine club memberships and drive sales of wine and merchandise.
•  Assist with daily operations, including opening and closing the tasting room, restocking wine and supplies, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment.
•  Accurately process transactions using the POS system.
•  Adhere to all ABC and TTB regulations, ensuring a responsible and safe environment for guests.
Qualifications:
•  Previous experience in wine, hospitality, or customer service is required.
•  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•  Enthusiasm for wine and a desire to learn about Michael David Winery’s offerings.
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
•  Must be at least 21 years of age.
•  Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
•  Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional events.
•  Prioritize the safety of our guests, fellow team members, and follow all ABC guidelines for alcoholic beverage service (RBS certification required ahead of hiring)
