Tasting Room Lead & Events Coordinator

Job Description:

Anacréon Winery is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Tasting Room Lead & Events Coordinator to assist in managing our brand-new tasting room operations and coordinate all events. This multifaceted role is perfect for someone with a passion for wine, outstanding hospitality skills, and experience in event management. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional visitor experiences and effectively promote Anacréon wines and events.

Start Date: *May 20th - June 1st

Key Responsibilities:
•  Oversee daily operations of the tasting room, including hosting tasting experiences, ensuring exceptional service standards and a memorable visitor experience
•  Plan and coordinate winery events, from conception through to execution, including setup, staffing, and follow-up.
•  Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and drive visitor traffic to the tasting room.
•  Develop creative strategies to enhance wine sales and wine club memberships.
•  Handle logistics and coordination for both public and private events, ensuring they align with the winery’s brand and quality standards.
•  Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, guests, and community members.
•  Monitor inventory and manage wine and merchandise stock levels.
•  Prepare and present reports on tasting room activities and event outcomes to management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
•  Proven experience in hospitality, particularly in a tasting room or similar setting, with a track record of managing teams and events.
•  Excellent organizational and leadership skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and events effectively.
•  Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
•  A passion for wine and a commitment to learning about the specifics of Anacréon wines.
•  Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by event schedules.

Qualifications:
•  Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or 3-5 years Event Management, or related field preferred.
•  Experience in wine sales or a related field.
•  Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer software (e.g., MS Office).
•  Wine certifications (e.g., WSET, CMS) are advantageous but not required.
•  Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds daily.
•  OLCC server permit.
•  Oregon Food-Handlers Permit Required.
