Director of Sales – Northern California
Serendipity Wines is a successful and fast-growing wine distributor that is looking for an enthusiastic and
motivated leader who wants to join their passion for wine with the art of selling. We are seeking a
professional with prior sales management experience to lead our NorCal sales team. Fundamental wine
knowledge is required and prior management experience in distribution is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieve Quarterly and Annual Sales Targets
Monitor and Direct Sales Representative’s planning, activity, and
presentations
Grow and Maintain SKU Distribution throughout the sales territory
Measuring and Monitoring item distribution in their Market
Coaching and Mentoring of Sales Representatives
Recruit and Train New Hires
Build and Manage Serendipity Customer Relationships
DUTIES
Provide Route Management oversight
Monitor and Measure account and route plans with Sales Representatives
Oversee Surveying of Account Distribution
Review and Analyze Account Distribution Reports
Manage Wine List Surveys performed by Sales Representatives
Open new accounts and direct account assignments
Monitoring Focus item performance
Rep work withs and account calls with feedback report
Manage Promotions and Incentives, including “focus item” programming
Coordinate and monitor supplier market visits
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years wine industry experience in Sales and Marketing
Excellent leadership, time management and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills required for managing account data on an online platform.
Knowledge of wine regions and grape varietals.
Internet savvy and computer literate including Microsoft Excel.
The ability to lift 50 pounds and reliable transportation.
