Windridge Vineyards seeks a vineyard foreman in Germantown MD. Windridge is a family-owned farm winery dedicated to producing premium, estate wines, from our over 30 acres of vineyards. We are seeking a candidate to handle the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all farm equipment for our vineyard and help out with other vineyard and winery work as needed.

Responsibilities of the vineyard foreman include

•  Tractor driving (spraying, mowing, cultivating, etc.)
•  General equipment operation (forklift, skidsteer, etc.)
•  Hauling materials and equipment
•  Maintenance of farm equipment and tractor implements
•  Physical work in the vineyard with Vineyard Crew as needed
•  Record keeping as related to all vineyard operations
•  General maintenance of tasting room and winery facility as needed

Qualifications
•  Experience with operating agricultural or industrial equipment
•  Ability to maintain equipment
•  Valid Maryland Private Applicators license, or the ability to get one
•  Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred
•  Physically fit with the ability to walk, stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and lift and carry 50 pound loads.
•  Ability to work outside over uneven outdoor terrain in extreme temperature conditions.
•  Solid communication skills and be able to closely monitor changes in the vineyard throughout the year.
•  Must be able to speak and understand English

Job Type/Schedule
•  Full-time – 40 hours per week with additional work required during harvest
Salary/Benefits
•  $25 -$35 per hour depending on qualifications
•  Paid vacation days and holidays.
