ABOUT US
Williams Selyem Winery is a leading producer of limited production Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, and Zinfandels from the Russian River Valley. 95% of our production is sold to a long-standing list of customers (direct-to-consumer). In 2010 the new Williams Selyem Estate Winery facility was opened for tours and tasting, by appointment only, to List Members.

SUMMARY
Williams Selyem is seeking a highly motivated, hospitality-driven Southern California Sales Representative to grow our direct distribution business in key Southern California markets. This role will focus on developing new accounts, driving brand visibility, and increasing volume in high-potential on- and off-premise accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•  Serve as the face of Williams Selyem in the region, actively calling on accounts in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Palm Springs.
•  Expand sales through new account acquisition and targeted placements in on-premise (restaurants, hotels, wine bars) and off-premise (independent retailers) channels.
•  Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts to ensure optimal product positioning and reorder activity.
•  Execute in-person account visits 3 days per week, with Mondays and Fridays reserved for administrative and planning tasks.
•  Provide support and participate in trade events, winemaker dinners, tastings, and educational initiatives.
•  Coordinate closely with the National and International Sales Manager and VP of Sales and Marketing to align pricing, allocations, and key messaging.
•  Availability for periodic travel to Northern California (up to Carmel) and out-of-state markets including Nevada and Arizona, as needed.
•  Provide regular sales reports, performance insights, and strategic feedback to the Executive Leadership Team.

REQUIRED SKILLS
•  3+ years of wine sales experience, preferably in premium/luxury direct distribution.
•  Entrepreneurial drive with proven success in opening new markets and accounts.
•  Ability to manage a territory independently and prioritize high-potential opportunities.
•  Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends for events.
•  Excellent communication, organization, and CRM/reporting skills.
•  Existing relationships with key Southern California accounts is a strong plus.
•  Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS
•  High School Diploma.
•  Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and special events.
•  Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 40 lbs.
•  Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time as required by job duties.
•  Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.
•  Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

COMPENSATION
•  This position is full-time, benefits eligible (medical, dental, PTO, etc.).
•  Tiered performance bonus plan up to 20% of base salary.
•  Car and cell phone stipend, as well as travel and expense budget.
