Tasting Room Manager
Position Overview:
Langtry Farms is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Tasting Room Manager to oversee the daily operations of our tasting room. This role requires a dynamic individual with a passion for hospitality, wine education, and exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will manage inventory, service, vendor relations, and event planning, ensuring our tasting room operates seamlessly and delivers a world-class experience. This position reports to the Marketing Director and requires ongoing collaboration to ensure the tasting room experience reflects brand vision and marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Tasting Room & Hospitality Management:
• Oversee the tasting room, ensuring it remains pristine and inviting.
• Order and stock all service-related supplies, including collateral, menus, cleaning materials, and glassware.
• Manage culinary offerings, from cheese and charcuterie to catered events.
• Provide exceptional hospitality with a personalized approach.
• Work closely with the Marketing Director to align tasting room experiences with brand messaging, seasonal campaigns and guest engagement goals.
• Supervise and train DTC staff associates.
• Handle phone and email reservations, DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) orders, and guest inquiries.
Inventory & Vendor Relations:
• Oversee inventory management for tasting room.
• Maintain relationships with concierge services, industry partners, and referral networks to drive traffic and visibility.
• Ensure timely ordering and maintenance of wines, service materials, and event supplies.
Events & Member Pick-Up Days
• Plan and execute Wine Club pick-up events, ensuring a seamless and engaging guest experience.
• At the direction of the Marketing Director, coordinate culinary offerings, staffing, and supply orders for pick-up weekends and special events.
• Partner with the winery team to organize SKU orders, assist with packaging, and track DTC sales progress during release periods.
• Assist with the coordination of hosted industry events, from intimate trade tastings to large-scale gatherings of 100+ guests, to strengthen referral and wholesale partnerships.
• On occasion, represent Langtry Farms at off-site tastings, consumer events, and community outreach opportunities, serving as a brand ambassador.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
• Proven experience in hospitality, wine service, or event management.
• Strong ability to curate tailored guest experiences with creativity and intention.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments, particularly with marketing and winemaking to support unified brand storytelling.
• Excellent organizational and inventory management skills across multiple locations.
• Proficiency in DTC platforms, reservation systems, and POS technology.
• Experience in vendor relations, culinary coordination, and event planning.
• Ability to problem-solve in real-time and maintain grace under pressure.
• Public speaking comfort is a plus.

Requirements:
• 21 years of age or older.
• Bachelor’s Degree or appropriate combination of education and experience.
• Minimum three years of customer service experience.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
• Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills with customers and team members.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel.
• Experience in assisting and/or creating, execution, managing of timely e-commerce campaigns.
• Professional appearance and demeanor with a dynamic personality and positive attitude.
• Flexibility and ability to manage constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Able to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be available to work weekends and some holidays.
