The Associate Trade Marketing Manager assists the Trade Marketing Director in leading the development and execution of programs, product launches, and other marketing campaigns for brands in the Fine Wine division, such as Duckhorn Vineyards, Kosta Browne, and Goldeneye. This position works cross-functionally with the brand team to collaborate on deliverables and ensure all wholesale-facing programs are aligned with brand standards. The Associate Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for monitoring budgets and utilizing data-driven insights to optimize initiatives and measure the ROI of trade programs.
What we will ask you to do:
• Lead the development of compelling trade programs, selling tools, and trade communications for the Fine Wine division.
• Establish and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of trade marketing initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with the Sales team to strategically plan and execute marketing programs.
• Analyze and develop strategic tools and programming to broaden distribution in the on-premise channel.
• Ensure brand strategy initiatives are adhered to across all trade channels to build brand equity in the market.
• Manage trade POS inventory, order fulfillment, tracking, and the restocking of materials for the Sales team with our off-site warehouse.
• Coordinate the tracking and analysis of trade marketing program performance; facilitates improvements as appropriate and leads program recapping, financial analysis, and ROI.
• Synthesize market intelligence and business metric reporting to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage the updating and distribution of marketing presentations, along with the internal Trade and Media site.
• Analyze new trends and competitive activities to find innovative ways to improve channel effectiveness and efficiency.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales Ops and Brand teams to ensure the creation of materials, allocation numbers, and pricing are aligned with our release calendar.
• Traffic and code invoices, expense reports, ordering, and monitoring of programming and point of sales materials.
• Update internal systems on a continuous basis to ensure stakeholders remain updated.
What you will need:
• Bachelor’s degree required, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of trade marketing or relevant luxury wine marketing work experience.
• Ambitious and organized individual who can multi-task and effectively prioritize and manage a diverse workload.
• Self-starter, go-getter, and team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with growth opportunities.
• Program and project management skills, including the ability to take multiple projects from concept through execution.
• Proven track record in collaborating with others across multiple departments: Sales, Operations, DTC, Compliance, and Winemaking.
• Forward-thinker who is detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including both group and one-on-one, as well as written and verbal skills.
• Experience with IRI and/or Nielsen reporting and analysis preferred.
• Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator experience preferred.
• Passion for wine with demonstrated wine industry knowledge including wine regions, wine growing, production, 3-tier distribution, and channel management.
• Valid Driver's License and insurable MVR.
