From humble beginnings, we continue to invest in our company with distribution in over 25 states with wine that ranges in production from a few barrels to several thousand cases. With its recent expansion, Kate Arnold Wines is introducing new brands in both wine and spirits categories.

Position Summary:

This is a National Sales Representative position at Kate Arnold Wines that offers an opportunity for distributor salespersons or entry-level managers to transition into a national sales representative position through structured guidance and support. We are seeking an individual who is highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic and committed to seeing tasks through to completion. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to self-reflect and make necessary adjustments to continuously improve and excel in all facets of the wine and spirits industry. The Kate Arnold Wines National Sales Representative is responsible for executing an annual sales plan through detailed key account and distributor management. The primary focus is on generating revenue by engaging with consumers, restaurateurs, retailers, and distributors on a weekly basis. Their key responsibilities include increasing both volume and distribution of the Kate Arnold Wines portfolio through meticulous distributor management and active in-market presence, including wine and spirit tastings.

The National Sales Representative will receive personalized training tailored to their industry background. This entry-level program will provide valuable insights and expertise in distributor management, market presence enhancement, customer engagement, and successful wine tastings from an experienced professional. Additionally, the training will cover various facets of the wine and spirits industry, including marketing, finance, operations, production, and more.

Industry Knowledge:
-In-depth knowledge and interest of domestic and import wine and spirits
-Familiarity with current wine and spirit sales trends
-Understanding of the competitive landscape related to Kate Arnold Wines

Skills:
-Effectively communicate between distributors, retailers, restaurateurs, and employees with timeliness, clarity, and conciseness
-Possesses superior computer and analytical skills, with a critical emphasis on Microsoft applications

Sales Revenue Generation:
-Increase FOB sales in each state as per annual plan
-Monitor margin requirements for each market
-Build sales relationships with ten key accounts in each market
-Engage with distributor sales personnel to boost sales
-Plan sales events for showcasing Kate Arnold Wines, including tastings, trade shows, and wine dinners
-Develop and implement market plans tailored to channels and key accounts
-Educate distributor personnel on Kate Arnold Wines' portfolio and winemaking

Sales Planning Responsibilities:
-Arrange distributor business reviews on a quarterly basis as a minimum requirement
-Oversee the monthly business review process and devise additional growth strategies for each distributor
-Actively implement a well-structured distributor market visit plan to ensure the attainment of volume objectives
-Coordinate and execute distributor incentives in collaboration with brand managers

Administration:
-Monitor monthly volume depletion model
-Maintain sales control book with distributor profiles and key accounts
-Create market-specific sales presentations
-Implement distributor pricing and program strategies
-Support social media brand communication
-Update contact lists using CRM
-Manage all aspects of distributor communication

Education:
-CSW (Certified Specialist of Wine), CSS (Certified Specialist of Spirits), WSET Level 2-Wine, WSET Level 1-Spirits
-BA in business administration, sales, marketing, or related fields
-Negotiation & relationship-building skills

Experience:
-4 years of distributor sales representative experience
-On-premise and off-premise sales experience preferred
-2 years of distributor management experience preferred

Physical Requirements:
-50% travel; minimum of 120 overnights per year, non-conforming hours
-Preferred job locations are Dallas, Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, or Boston
-Other markets are allowed if the candidate is willing to demonstrate the ability to conduct significant travel schedules from said market
-Ability to lift heavy boxes over 40 pounds

Compensation:
-Base salary plus commission
