Position Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Brand Manager to lead the development and execution of marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales. The Brand Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our brand message is consistent, compelling, and aligned with business objectives. Additionally, this role will oversee Clif Family’s storytelling and content strategy across all customer touchpoints, from digital platforms and social media to physical brand experiences, ensuring alignment with the strategy built by the VP of Marketing. The Brand Manager is responsible for creating compelling, authentic, and engaging content that enhances brand awareness, drives customer interaction, and supports sales objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Define, manage, and consistently apply Clif Family’s brand voice and visual identity across all channels.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies that enhance awareness, loyalty, and market share.
• Lead the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, social, print and experiential activations.
• Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to inform brand strategy and campaign development.
• Develop promotional strategies to support retail and on-premise wholesale partners, ensuring strong visibility and sales performance.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies that drive traffic to retail and hospitality locations, enhancing brand visibility and customer engagement.
• Oversee brand activations at key events, tastings, and sponsorships to maximize brand exposure.
• Create and oversee content for marketing campaigns, social media, website, email, and promotional materials.
• Lead daily social media activities, including content creation, posting, community engagement, and monitoring.
• Coordinate the production of visual content including photography, video, and graphics.
• Engage actively with social media communities, manage influencer partnerships, and encourage user-generated content.
• Develop and maintain content calendars and ensure timely execution of campaigns and content distribution.
• Partner with Performance Marketing Manager to align brand messaging with performance and conversion goals.
• Monitor and evaluate the success of marketing efforts, adjusting strategies as needed to drive continuous improvement.
• Attends and participates in mandatory staff meetings and trainings.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in content creation, brand marketing, or social media management.
• Proven ability to create engaging and effective content across various digital and social platforms.
• Experience managing social media channels, community interactions, and influencer relationships.
• Excellent storytelling, writing, and creative production skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Background or familiarity with food, wine, lifestyle, or sustainability-focused brands preferred.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally for events, trade shows, and market visits.
• Must be comfortable working on feet for extended periods.
• Must be able to work both inside and outside in varied weather conditions.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and as required for special events and activities.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. required.
