Part-time Tasting Room Associate

Rain Dance is seeking to expand our team of Part-time Tasting Room associates.

Our main tasting room is a 1926 farmhouse that was meticulously remodeled in 2012 with an expansive patio, surrounded by lovely, mature gardens. Our carriage house serves as an additional gathering spot for wine tastings, private dinners and special events. We are not a high-volume tasting room. We take pride in our relaxing tasting experience and encourage engagement with our guests to establish long term relationships that ultimately generate more sales and memberships.

Primary Responsibilities:
•  Host guests with friendly, courteous, and professional service.
•  Oversee daily operations in tasting room including opening and closing procedures and wine inventory.
•  Stock merchandise and service supplies and maintain cleanliness of facility.
•  Create charcuterie boards and manage/order related food products.
•  Assist DTC manager with various event, wine club and marketing projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
•  Must possess a passion for and knowledge of wine.
•  Able to take instruction and then work independently/own your job responsibilities.
•  Able to remain calm and professional under pressure, with excellent problem-solving skills.
•  Able to sell wine with 1+ years of customer service and sales experience.
•  Able to work weekends and occasional holidays and evenings.
•  Able to stand for extended periods of time and able to lift/carry 40 lbs.
•  Must be computer proficient, POS knowledge preferred.
•  Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current OLCC card.
•  Able to follow policies and procedures.
•  Professional appearance at all time.
