Job Description:

Saffron Fields Vineyards is a woman-owned winery specializing in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rose crafted by renowned winemaker Tony Rynders. You will work in our contemporary tasting room and art gallery, surrounded by a Japanese garden. We deliver impeccable hospitality in a Zen and fun atmosphere.

A Tasting Room Associate assists in all aspects of the visitor experience, including conducting tours of various sizes, holding tastings, providing wine education, and completing retail sales of wine and gift items. An ideal candidate has a fun, outgoing, service-oriented personality and is a motivated team player. Hours include weekends and some holidays. This position particularly seeks those interested in working Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

General duties:
Models exceptional customer service by providing knowledgeable, consistent, and courteous responses to visitor needs, questions, complaints, or problems.
Performs housekeeping tasks to maintain the cleanliness of the tasting room, kitchen, and wine storage. Housekeeping duties include the following: washing and polishing dishes and stemware, stocking inventory, cleaning the tasting room, kitchen, restrooms, and wine storage, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out garbage/recycling.
Other duties as assigned by the Tasting Room Manager.

Tasting room duties:
Acquires and maintains knowledge of the winery and its wines.
Handles telephone reservations and appointments.
Leads visitors through tastings and helps assist visitors in making purchasing decisions.
Effectively suggests and sells wine.
Prepares and serves food items.
Handles routine sales transactions and shipping.
Supports stocking and display of retail items and wines.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Able to multi-task and follow through with tasks and responsibilities.
Comes to work excited, with a can-do attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
Ability to balance multiple tasks while keeping calm under pressure & organized.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Able to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
Able to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Passionate about wine, particularly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Able to stand, walk, and talk for extended periods as job duties require.
Able to lift items up to 50 lbs.
Possess or can acquire OLCC Service Permit & Food Handlers License.
